Since December 2013, we have been organizing free seminars in which specialists in AI, machine learning and neuro-science give talks and participate in panel discussions together with researchers and engineers of companies and research institutes. Seminars are held once in two or three months, and gather more than two hundred people on site and hundreds of webcast viewers ever-increasing.
We are also organizing hackathons aiming for the realization of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) through the WBA approach, where teams consisting of students in AI, machine learning and neuro-science, engineers, and specialists intensively work on raising specific issues and solving them for the realization of WBA. Knowledge gained from hackathons will be published.
The realization of AGI through the WBA approach is based on the Central WBA Hypothesis and the “build and verify” method is required. To support research activities as efficiently and feasibly as possible, we are working on BriCA, the Brain-inspired Computing Architecture, together with partners such as RIKEN, Dwango AI Lab., and Keio University.
WBAI solicits for supporting members for the idea of the Whole Brain Architecture.
