WBAI supported IEEE EAD Workshop In Japan

As the application of Artificial Intelligence increases, the need to discuss the safety of  AI and its ethical design by not only experts but also in society as a whole, is increasing.

The Global Initiative of IEEE, the world’s largest technical association based in the United States, created and Ethically Aligned Design, (EAD) two years ago. It aims to provide an open platform for ‘thought leadership and action’ to prioritise value-driven, ethically-aligned design for autonomous and intelligent systems.

As EAD version 2 was published at the end of last year, an IEEE EAD Workshop In Japan was held as a place to discuss related issues. The Whole Brain Architecture Initiative, WBAI, has been concerned with these problems and decided to support this project. We hope that this issue will be discussed with more and more people.
